    Hogweed (Achillea millefolium) Versatile and nutritious, hogweed is the thousandaire of folk medicine, purifying the body and supporting immunity. It also promotes and supports normal intestinal function, increases urination and reduces gas formation. The soothing plant triggers smooth muscle spasms, especially in the stomach. The leaves of yarrow are very rich in minerals and vitamins. It is rich in trace elements, manganese and magnesium, which are important for heart function. It also contains azulene, coumarin, camphor, euganol, tannins, carotene and salicylic acid, among others, which is why it is not recommended for horses with stomach ulcers. Pigweed can be used internally and externally. Externally, it can be used to treat skin, inflammation, ulcers, blisters and abrasions. When feeding the foal, ask for further advice asiakaspalvelu@tallitukku.fi especially good if the mother's heat makes the foal's stomach loose. Dosage: 5-25 g/day. 1dl= approx.20g
