The horse eats in the wild slowly and for long periods of time, when the small-eyed hay net encourages natural eating and behavior that mimics natural grazing. From the small-hole hay net, the horse eats smaller amounts for a longer period of time, thus minimizing digestive damage and not having to be without hay for long periods of time.
