The horse eats in the wild slowly and for long periods of time, with the small-eyed hay net encouraging natural eating and behavior that mimics natural grazing. From the small-hole hay net, the horse eats smaller amounts for a longer period of time, thus minimizing gastrointestinal damage and not having to be without hay for long periods of time.
