They have a protective effect on the horse's mucous membranes in the stomach. Since foals are prone to damage to the gastric mucosa, the linoleic acid content of milk may have a protective effect on the gastric mucosa.Omega-3 fatty acidsNordic Grow has added omega-3 fatty acids in the form of flax seeds. When a mare consumes omega-3 fatty acids during pregnancy, it has been shown to change the fatty acid composition of milk, and this is believed to, among other things, give foals a stronger immune system than foals that have not received omega-3 through milk. To reduce or stop this oxidation process, we have added oil of oregano, black currants, pumpkin seeds, beetroot and natural vitamin E, all of which contain high amounts of antioxidants.Bone conditionOptimal bone health is important for a growing horse.
