  • Product Description
Electrolyte pellets that are only absorbed in the small intestine! Less stomach irritation - unlike traditional electrolytes. Amequ's new and unique electrolyte pellets support your horse's fluid balance. They effectively replace the vital electrolytes (sodium, chloride, potassium, magnesium and calcium) that your horse loses when sweating. This affects the functioning of your whole body, such as your horse's fluid balance, digestion, blood circulation, acid-base balance, muscle and nerve function, and performance. Salty electrolytes can easily irritate the mucous membranes of the horse’s stomach. Amequn taste and sugar elektrolyyttipelletit the stomach friendly: the unique coating reduces the irritation of the gastric mucosa and to ensure that the ingredients contained in the pellets are absorbed slowly and efficiently in the small intestine, where gut enzymes break down the coating. In addition, the coating ensures that the pellets taste less salty than traditional electrolytes, making them easy to mix with other horse feeds. Licorice root has been added to Amequ's sugar-free electrolyte pellets. Tips for using electrolytes A horse can sweat during heavy physical exertion at 10-15 liters per hour and at the same time lose up to 100 grams of salt from his body. Replacing these lost fluids and salts is vital because otherwise the horse can quickly begin to suffer from dehydration and dryness. Keep in mind, however, that a horse should be given electrolytes other than just after a hard workout or competition, as studies have shown that horses given an electrolyte an hour before training were 27 percent more durable than horses given no electrolytes. Thus, if a horse is in active training, the horse should be given electrolytes every day, and not just during training or competition, because if the horse develops an electrolyte deficiency, it can take weeks or even months to restore its balance. Electrolytes should be mixed with feed rich in easily digestible fibers, as saline electrolytes can easily irritate the equine gastric mucosa. You can also divide the electrolyte supplement into all of your horse’s daily meals - this ensures maximum absorption of electrolytes. Also, make sure that your horse always has fresh and clean drinking water available, especially when you give your horse electrolytes.
