THE BEST COMPANION for round bales Super-strong and durable hay baler Big Bale Buddy for very large bales (up to 183cm diameter and 122cm height). 1 year warranty.

The Extra Large Big Bale Buddy is suitable for round bales with a diameter of 183cm and a height of 122cm ( 5'3" - 6 feet ) It is made from 1500 denier woven polypropylene with 2 years (1200 hours) UV protection, and comes with a 1 year replacement guarantee against tearing. All seams are double stitched with UV treated polypropylene thread and the elastic is sewn into the bag, folded and then double stitched for security. It weighs 5kg and has a pack size of 14 x 16 x 6cm. The extra large Big Bale Buddy is made for bales up to six feet in diameter and up to four feet six inches in height. If your bales are taller, the Bale Buddy will still work well, the elastic band will tighten the side of the bale and the taller hay will be visible from the top of the bag.

Looking for a round bale feeder that will save your hay without dumping your household?

The Big Bale Buddy Round Bale Feeder will keep your hay clean while you feed. It captures all the rich hay and gives it to your horses to eat. Why look to your quality (and expensive) hay for bedding when there is a cheap, easy to use and safe alternative?

Developed to withstand the harsh weather of northern Canada (and Finland). Won't freeze to the ground and stays flexible in extreme frost. Lightweight, durable, rot and dirt repellent, 1500 denier woven polypropylene, 2 year (1200 hour) UV protection.

A special weave designed to repel water that gets inside the feeder, while moisture that gets outside the Big Bale Buddy rotary feeder is repelled, keeping your hay drier.

The Big Bale Buddy is the best round bale feeder for the muddy conditions of spring and fall.

Eliminates the risk of foot and neck injuries caused by metal and rigid feeders.

Pays for itself quickly with hay saved. The Big Bale Buddy ensures that almost all of your hay is eaten and your animal's guts don't accumulate sand and mud with the hay.

You save money every time you eat!

Pays for itself in 6-12 uses and will save you money for years!
Feeding large round bales without a feeder can waste up to 1/3 of the bale.
Lightweight, easy to use, easy to maintain and affordable.

    Care

When not in use, the Big Bale Buddy should be shaken clean and then folded/rolled up and stored in a convenient storage bag. If desired, it can be wiped clean with a damp sponge or washed with a garden hose and hung to dry. Wet dirt or manure that sticks to the Big Bale Buddy will fall off as it dries, or fall off after a few shakes.

    How to use

Roll or carry your round bale to where you want to feed it. Place the bale on a flat surface. Remove the string or bandage. Attach the elastic opening on one side of the top of the bale, then extend around, fasten it, and pull it down toward the ground until the Big Bale Buddy completely covers the hay bale like a hat. Now flip the round bale over until it stands on one end. Pull the flexible opening up and over the edge all the way. Your round bale is now ready to feed.

    NOTE!

If you are threading the BaleBuddy alone then place a long screwdriver in the flat edge of the bale about 5-10 cm from the edge upright and put the elastic weave in first and then start stretching the rest of the bale around the edge. Finally, put your hand under the tape on the screwdriver, take the screwdriver out and push the edge of the bale all the way into the elastic. This will give you a handy start to the bale stretching process.

If you are using a tractor with forks or a spike, the Big Bale Buddy can be placed on the bale while it is raised for transport.

Alternatively, you can place the Big Bale Buddy on a round bale before moving it to your feeding area.

If you are feeding smaller animals or want better access to the bale, turn the top edge of the bag down so that the elastic band grips the sides of the bale and the top edge of the bale is exposed.

As the animals eat the hay, the bag collapses around it, keeping the hay inside with very minimal waste. As the end of the bale approaches, the animals quickly learn to push the soft bundles of polypropylene around their noses to get the last small pieces of hay. When empty and ready for reuse, if it has dirt or manure stuck to it (polypropylene is naturally slippery and repels dirt), lift it by one edge and shake it with a few firm strokes to remove.
