    Valeriana (Valeriana officinalis) Valeriana is an ancient herb that has long been used to relieve insomnia and nervousness. The plant is calming and relaxing. It also relieves muscle spasms, relieves stomach and flatulence and supports the immune system. Calming valerian is suitable for calming various neurological conditions, administered in a regimen 3-4 days before a nervous situation. May tire the horse and affect performance. Dosage: 15 g/day (1 dl = approx. 40 g) mixed with feed. The effect can also be deepened externally by applying a fingertip mixed with the oil to the mucous membrane of the nostrils just before a nervous situation.
