  • Product Description
NEW! Steel wire, tensile grade High Tensile. The steel wire is coated with CrapalOptimum® zinc-aluminium-magnesium alloy, which offers five times the corrosion protection of a wax-galvanized (100% zinc) coating.

    Two thicknesses:

2.0 mm, tensile strength 380 kg
2,5 mm, tensile strength 590 kg
High Tensile: higher tensile strength but lower flexibility.

Medium Tensile: lower tensile strength but higher flexibility.

High Tensile has a higher tensile strength than Medium Tensile and is tougher than Medium Tensile. The harder High Tensile yarn not only has a much better tensile strength than Medium Tensile yarn, but also stretches much less than Medium Tensile yarn when tensioned.

A harder yarn may be slightly more challenging to handle when knotting than a more flexible Medium Tensile yarn. The manufacturer of High Tensile wire therefore recommends using Gripple connectors in the fence.

Tip! Use High Tensile when building a steel wire fence. The coiler makes it easier to handle the wire and prevents it from twisting.

    Wire thickness 2,5 mm
    Package size 648 m
    Specific resistance 0,02 Ω/m
    Tensile strength 590 kg
