Olli Steel wire 2,0mm, 1025m Medium Tensile

Steel wire, tensile strength class Medium Tensile. Heavy galvanized (100% zinc) steel wire made in Finland.

Two thicknesses of hot-dip galvanized steel wire are available:

2,0 mm, tensile strength 270 kg
2,5 mm, tensile strength 400 kg.
High Tensile: higher tensile strength but lower flexibility.

Medium Tensile: lower tensile strength but higher flexibility.

Medium Tensile has a lower tensile strength than High Tensile, but is more flexible than High Tensile.

Medium Tensile yarn is in a sense easier to handle; it does not break as easily when knotted as the harder Hi Tensile yarns. On the other hand, Medium Tensile wire stretches considerably more than High Tensile wire when tensioned, so if you want to build a fence where the steel wire is tensioned quite tightly, you should choose the harder High Tensile wire.

Tip! Use a High Tensile tensioner when building a steel wire fence. The coiler makes it easier to handle the wire and prevents it from twisting.
