  • Flexible gate rope is electrically conductive, durable and flexible fence rope for gates in 25 m rolls. The rope has a diameter of 8 mm. The metric rope makes it easy to create the right length of gate!

The flexible rope is particularly useful for horses: when properly installed, the rope cannot fall to the ground and cause electric shocks to the animal, for example through wet ground.

Tip! The flexible rope should be installed so that the rope is taut when the screen is closed. You will therefore need a shorter length of rope than the width of the screen. Also, measure and try to stretch the rope at the gate before cutting the rope from the roll, so that you don't accidentally make the gate too loose or too tight. This way you will avoid wrong measurements and the rope will not be wasted.

If you want to make a net where the rope cannot fall to the ground, build the net as follows:

Attach the starting end of the rope gate to the next post after the gate post. When the gate is attached, the rope is suitably taut when the rope and the handle are not hanging. When the gate is open, the handle of a correctly sized rope winder will pull up to the other side of the gate and not fall to the ground.
Note that the pole space must be suitable for this type of gate; for example, you may need to add a new fence post next to the gate if your existing pole space does not support this type of construction.
Do not stretch the rope to the limit, as this will shorten the life of the rope. A rope that is too tight will also make the gate difficult to use.
Use rope connectors and rope end connectors to ensure non-sparking joints. Use stainless steel connectors to build the longest lasting joints.
With a flexible rope spacer, you should use Oll's specially reinforced spacer handles, which have a compression spring that compresses instead of stretching when the handle is pulled. They will last much longer than ordinary rope handles in a rope gate with a flexible rope, where the handle is subjected to constant tension.

Tip! You can attach the rope cutter to its own, separate insulator (e.g. Olli Rengaserist), which is not connected at all to the fence itself. In this case, the gate only receives electricity from the handle side and is only electrified when attached. This makes it easier to pass through the gate, for example with horses straining against the electric fence. In this case, make sure that electricity is also supplied on the other side of the gate when the gate is open.

Tip! When connecting a fence rope or flexible screen rope to a screen insulator or screen handle, the connection is easily sparked. To correct the problem, make the grating connections using the rope end connector. The rope end connector is used with the rope connector.
