Muscle Tension

A supplementary feed for horses to reduce tension and nervousness. Makor contains efficiently absorbed magnesium in various chemical bonding forms, as well as high levels of vitamin E and several nutritionally valuable herbs.

A relaxed and well-trained musculature is the basis for all equestrian sports. Specific nutrients such as magnesium and vitamin E are particularly important for training results. Magnesium promotes muscle relaxation after contraction and supports the transmission of stimuli between nerve and muscle cells. Vitamin E improves cellular oxygenation to ensure sustained performance.

Deficiencies in these nutrients can result in muscle tension, impaired nervous system recovery, sensitivity to weather changes, reluctance to work and lack of enthusiasm. Makor is particularly useful during intensive training, in competitions, for calming tense and nervous horses, during stable changes and weather changes, during long journeys, during pregnancy and foaling, and in other stressful situations.

Magnesium needs can also increase towards the end of pregnancy. Magnesium deficiency can manifest itself as tension, congestion and cramping and, in pregnant mares, premature contractions. Deficiencies can also occur in the nervous system and lead to circulatory problems which can cause swelling of the legs, sensitivity to weather changes or general nervousness.

The solution Makor can help to correct deficiencies in a short time. High bioavailability magnesium compounds and natural vitamin E in the product effectively normalise the situation. The composition is completed by a selection of valuable herbs such as hawthorn, fennel, coriander, ginger and garlic. Magnesium regulates muscle function and energy metabolism. Vitamin E improves cellular oxygenation. In particular, high physical and mental stress increases the need for these nutrients.

Horses suffering from lack of motivation get a boost, horses that are tense become easier to ride and horses that are sensitive to changes in the weather become calmer.

Feeding guide

Approx. 5 g per 100 kg live weight daily with normal feeding. NOTE: If necessary, the dose can be doubled for short periods. Not suitable for all-round mineral supplementation.

NOTE: This supplement contains higher than normal concentrations of vitamins and trace elements and should therefore not cover more than 0,7 % of the horse's daily ration (including hay). Please follow the feeding recommendation.
