LEMON PEEL (Citrus limon)
Lemon peel contains 5 to 10 times more vitamins than the whole lemon juice itself. The shells contain vitamins A and C, beta-carotene, folate, calcium, magnesium and potassium, among others.
Lemon peels contain lemon oil, citronella and phellandrene, as well as vitamin C, citric acid, malic acid, formic acid, hesperidin and pectin and the like.
Lemon peel has strong properties, it is strongly antiseptic and antifungal and cleansing. The oils are highly protective and moisturizing.
Dosage for horses: 0.5 dl / day
Can also be used externally boiled in water and lemon peels are boiled in an amount of water that covers the peels. The boiling water can be used, for example, in rows and other skin problems, in the treatment of the udders, in the treatment of the ears (the fungus easily gets into the ear in animals) and as a rinse in the water with white animals. In skin care, lemon water is not rinsed off the skin but is left to protect the skin. Lemon can fade the color of a black horse’s coat.
