Fohlengold LifeStart is a product used for the newborn foal. The foal's intestine is completely sterile at birth and therefore it has to build up its gut microbiota through feed, which it gradually starts to eat during its first weeks of life, as well as by eating its mother's manure. Fohlengold LifeStart provides important prebiotic fibres, beta-glucans and nucleotides to stimulate the development of the foal's intestinal mucosa and flora.

Fohlengold LifeStart is a 2-week intensive treatment, starting on the foal's 3rd day of life. It is applied 5 g per day dissolved in water and injected into the foal's mouth. The measuring spoon supplied is approximately 2.5 g. The dose can be given to the foal even when it starts to eat other food. In this case it can be mixed with a small amount of Mash.
