Use the Nordic first aid kit within 3 hours and up to 12 hours after birth to ensure the foal's immunity to the important colostrum antibodies. Keep the pack in the stable in case of complications.Colostrum is essential to provide the foal with antibodies to protect it from infection during the first months of life.If a mare dies during foaling, milk as much milk as possible from the mare's udder and offer it to the foal in a bottle.     INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:Call your veterinarian!

    - if something goes wrong during foaling or if the mare does not produce milk, always contact the vet.

    Start Nordic Foal First Aid within 3 hours(up to 12 hours).What you need:1 saucepan or bowl with a capacity of at least 1 litre1 decilitre measure1 whisk1 tablespoon of water, about 1 tbsp. 1 tablespoon of water, about 1 tablespoon of waterKettleFirst aid for a Nordic coltPREPARATION:1. Wash your hands thoroughly!2. Pour 1.5 dl of cold water into a saucepan/bowl.3. Add 2 dl of boiling water.4. Add 50 g Nordic Foal Milk+ (1 measuring spoon = 25 g).5. Stir with a whisk until the powder is completely dissolved.6. Add 1,5 dl of cold water, stirring until the contents become lukewarm (approx. 40 °C).7. Add 75 g colostrum, stirring until the powder is completely dissolved.8. Pour the contents of the bowl into the teat bottle provided.9. Cut the tip of the bottle so that there is a small opening in the stem for sucking the milk.10. Give the foal 250 ml of milk with colostrum added every hour. NOTE: foals must not drink more than 10 ml per day. kgbody weight per meal - i.e. max. 500 ml for a warm-blooded foal in the first year of life. Make onlyonly one dose of colostrum at a time. Never heat colostrum in the microwave. If colostrum gets too hottoo hot, the antibodies will be destroyed.11. Clean the bottle carefully after each use.12. After the first 4 feedings (4 hours), the colostrum will run out and then continue exclusivelyNordic Foal Milk+. This is prepared by following steps 1-5.
