  • Product Description

The red-footed shell, which is rich in mucus substances, helps to protect and strengthen the mucous membranes of the digestive tract.

The inner shell of the elm contains mucus (polysaccharides) which become sticky mucus when in contact with the liquid. It is these mucus substances when ingested that help protect and strengthen the digestive mucous membranes.

Stomach and intestinal friendly red foot has been used for centuries. Its wood extract thickens the lining layer covering the stomach and creates a strong protection against stomach acids. The product caresses the stomach and is also very suitable for horses sensitive to stomach ulcers. A soothing red foot can also relieve an irritated mouth and promote respiratory well-being.

Composition: 100% red-footed bark, gently dried

    Nordic Horse feeding instructions:
4-6 g per 100 kg body weight per day

For optimal effect, mix a slightly swollen beet cut or mash into the leg shell just before giving it to the horse. Alternatively, the foot shell can be mixed with water and given directly into the horse's mouth in a disposable syringe or made into drinking water, which equalizes the amount of mucus in plenty of water.

It is a good idea to give the horse a product so that it does not swallow heavily, as some of the horses will get rid of the slimy mouthfeel.

Preferably distributed in 2-3 meals a day, and preferably fed for min. ½ one hour before any other feed or medicine for the horse, otherwise it may impair the absorption of nutrients or medicines.

Note: The product must be stored in a cool, dry and hygienic place. Natural products may vary in degree of grinding and color from season to season.
