Nordic Minty Omega is a tasty flaxseed pellet that horses love. Contains omega-3 fatty acids, which have a positive effect on the horse's healthy metabolism and give Turkey a silky shine.

Nordic Minty Omega consists of high-quality brown flax seeds, from which we gently extract some of the oil to ensure that the horse gets the full benefit and that the product loses harmful hydrocyanic acid during the process. After this process, the oil content drops to 14-15%, making Nordic Minty Omega easy for the horse to digest. The high proportion of mucilage and oil from flax seeds, along with peppermint and beetroot, has a positive effect on the horse’s digestive system.

All young and old horses need omega-3 fatty acids on a daily basis. When a horse grazes in the summer, it usually gets enough omega-3. But throughout the winter or if the horse only lives in the orchard, it is important that we add them to the horse’s feeding.

Omega-3 fatty acids are essential. Necessary means that fatty acids cannot be produced in the horse's body and must therefore be included in the feed. If a horse is deficient in omega-3 fatty acids, it may have problems with immune function, hormonal function, skin, hooves, etc.

Nordic Horse Feeding Recommendation:

As an omega-3 supplement when weight gain is not desired: 10-20 gr per 100 kg of horse.
As an omega-3 supplement, where weight gain is also desired: 30-50 gr per 100 kg of horse.
Omega-3 supplement for foals aged 6-12 months: 100 grams per 100 kg current weight.
Omega-3 supplement for young horses (1-1.5 years): 30 grams per 100 kg current weight

The product does not require soaking or other handling before use. Soaking is only recommended if the horse is prone to esophageal obstruction.

Storage and shelf life:

Because Nordic Horse products are 100% natural and free of additives, proper storage is important for sustainability. Nordic Minty Omega should be stored in a dry, cool place and not in direct sunlight - preferably in a closed container. Preferably, keep the feed in the stable for a long time before use.
