Brewer's yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) facilitates digestion, limits harmful changes in a horse's digestion, helps with intestinal problems and increases appetite. Adding yeast to the diet can reduce the decrease in intestinal pH and variability in lactic acid content.
