The research and development of fager bits is done in collaboration with veterinarians who share our passion for the well-being of horses. The innovative design of the dies means we are not afraid to use already known ones, but we are exploring what is outside the box when it comes to the traditional suitability of the dies. Thanks to this, we have been able to create revolutionary models that take into account the different anatomies of different horses. We always put the comfort and well-being of our horses first when creating new models. Through our own research and evaluations, we have found the benefits of varying the pressure points in the mouth by distributing the pressure where the horse feels comfortable. Each Fager design has been developed with a focus on a specific type of horse / personality. We started by questioning traditional dies with thickness, heavy mouthfires, and challenged the need to use clumsy traditional dies in a horse’s mouth when it is possible to use a lighter design and material that takes up much less space. A comfortable horse is more sensitive to small subtle aids, easier to handle and becomes more comfortable to ride.
